Assistant Specialist
Denis is an Assistant Specialist in the Zen lab. He has a B.S. in Cell and Molecular Biology from SFSU. He manages the vole colony and is interested in studying the aging brain and changes in social behavior as we age. He also has done an internship which led to a job at UCSF where he assisted Kristen with behavioral assays, histology, genotyping and more. Aside from all the voles he manages he has a small white bellied parrot named Mango and a tiny old Maltese dog named Max.
